What's your French level?

Eighteen items of climbing difficulty — three at each CEFR level from A1 to C2, mixing gap-fill sentences with short reading passages. You hold a level by answering at least two of its three items correctly, and scoring stops at the first level you miss. The two-of-three bar is deliberate: it cuts the odds of guessing your way up a level from roughly 55% to about 26%.

A1 is a beginner, A2 everyday basics, B1 the gateway to real material, B2 comfortable with most topics, C1 nuance and idiom, C2 near-native. Our CEFR guide describes each one as a reading experience.
